He’s calmed down quite a bit, just in time for Adanowsky’s visit to our living room. Before we met Adan, we were expecting Mexican playboy ala Serge Gainsbourg – his latest album is called Amador after all. So when Sam said she sometimes performs with a saw player we were thrilled. Little did we know that the musical saw player was the famous film director, Jeremy Konner, creator of Funny or Die's "Drunk History" series, officially making him a double-threat - as he's also self-taught master of the singing saw. They were originally going to perform Cole Porter's "I Love Paris", but instead performed Konner's original composition, "The History of You". I've listened to this song about a hundred times and I still don't know what it means, but I love it and I play it for our baby boy when he breastfeeds, as should you. To our knowledge, this is the only recording of the song in existence. What happened next, we never imagined. We got to meet some extraordinary artists, made some great friends, and worked with an amazing crew who gave up many of their weekends to hang with us. The experiences we shared were priceless, even as much of it was a blur. Forensic analysis tells us our little dicklet was made October 16th, 2010, the night Hanni El Khatib brought his sweaty knife fight music over to the house. (insert witty joke here). It was a year we will never forget. To celebrate we invited the boys from our first session back - Indio, Lewis, and Little Kyle - they've grown up too and have a much bigger name this time, Big Pink Chair.
